One of the most anticipated event for trade players and beauty lovers is the Beauty Expo. Held from 4-7 October 2013, this 12th Beauty Expo spans more than 10,000 sq metre of floor space with more than 500 specialists from 23 countries. There were more than 10,000 products on display from both local and international exhibitors like Singapore, Korea and Taiwan country pavilions.
To make it easy for visitors to navigate through the expo, the exhibition halls are divided into 5 product-based exhibit zone covering every aspect of beauty. The halls were divided into Beauty Salon Spa & Wellness, Hair Products & Equipments, Nail Products & Tools, Packaging, Contract, Manufacturing & Private Labelling and Makeup Education.
I had a ball going through the Beauty Expo. Not only did I attend on the first day, I went again on the last day to grab some stuff I didn’t get to buy on the first day. Check out my Beauty Expo haul here.
The Beauty Expo is not just an exhibition, it also does trade visitors and exhibitors matching programme to facilitate contracts between exhibitors and buyers. In addition, just like the tradition of the Beauty Expo, there were lots of competitions, stage shows and seminars that covers from beauty to hair and nail industries.
Beauty Expo is also now taking part in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) through BeautyJobs.com.my. This platform acts as a bridge between businesses and job seekers in the beauty industry. It works as a 1-to-1 job matching platform, which means businesses can post up their job vacancy while job seekers can post their resumes up online. All this can be done at no cost to either party and is just part of Beauty Expo’s CSR programme.
