One of the best activity I have ever been to. If you have been following me (and maybe some others), you may have seen in your Facebook feed or even on YouTube itself on Samsung’s unique web series called “Wind Chimes in a Bakery”.
This web series is a love drama, very Kdrama-like, running for approximately 6-7 minutes per episode. This series is directed by Korean director Jang Jae Hyeok, who is a famous director who has done MTVs for famous Kpop stars like Super Junior, Rain and SNSD.
Anyway, this web series is about Adam and Sue, played by Ahmad Nabil and Koe Yeet, where Adam is a boy with nothing but a dream, and Sue is a girl with everything but love. The story is melodramatic and tragic, typical Korean drama. Haha.
But it is really good. Very engaging and even my boyfie who doesn’t really watch dramas is actually following the series closely.Lady Alie in an apron. ^_^
So, I was really excited when I was invited to take part in a baking session (to bake the same red bean buns shown in the series), as well as meet the two star crossed lovers “Adam & Sue”. The baking session was held at At19 Culinary Studio in Damansara Heights, a bungalow turned cooking studio.
It was a rather fun affair. Baking is always fun, more so when you get to spread some flour on someone’s cheek. Nabil & Koe Yeet kept flouring each other as often as possible. Even during the Q&A, their faces were still all white with flour! Haha.
Well, about the baking session, we made the read bean buns and I loved the idea of having the recipes in the phone placed at each station.
With the Air View on the phone, we could turn the pages without dirtying the phone since all we needed to do was just hover over it.
My team consisted of 6 of us and we took turns trying to bake the buns. I love the flower shape although I don’t eat red beans. Lol. At the end, the result of my buns were kinda ugly since we also had to rush. I think I bake better in my own kitchen.
Nabil & Koe Yeet had a little contest among themselves to see who made the nicer red bean bun, and I think Koe Yeet did better. Well, it looked better anyway. ^_^ Watch their fun Q&A session below where we asked them a bunch of questions on their experiences in the making of the web series by Samsung.
Anyway, for those who have not watched the series, here are the links to the episodes so far. A MUST WATCH!
